My partner and I love travelling the world and we especially enjoy camping. Usually this has been done on the back of my motorbike – a BMW f800ST Sports Tourer.
As much fun as this is it doesn’t leave much room for the little luxuries that can help elevate camping trips.
In fact there was barely enough room to pack the tent most of the time, and certainly very little room for any of the delicious treats we happen across on our travels and want to take home with us.
So now we’ve decided to take our camping experience to the next level and build our own camper van by converting an ex-work van.
Starting with a transporter-type van as a base we plan on creating our own personalised camper, and making it a true home-from-home.
This blog will chart our adventures, bringing you along for the ride, and perhaps inspire your own crazy adventure.
We’ll be show you every step of the mammoth task of turning an empty van into a comfortable, cosy camper. Sharing pictures and practical advice, plans and diagrams we use along the way, with links to videos and resources that we found helpful, should you decide to do this yourself one day.
